About The Westbay Cottage

With uninterrupted sea views over West Bay and on over to Gourdon harbour this traditional sandstone cottage built around 1890’s, has been sympathetically updated.

Retaining much of its original character, the cottage consists of on the ground floor, a comfortable sitting room with kitchen off, and a decent sized lounge on the other side of the central staircase. The lounge is furnished with a sofa bed allowing a further 2 people to use the cottage should this be needed. On the upper floor is the bathroom along with two good sized bedrooms.

Heating is by electric storage units on the ground floor with convection heaters in the bedrooms and a heated towel rail in the bathroom.

The kitchen has a cooker, fridge/freezer, and combi microwave.

In the downstairs area, there is a large collection of DVDs along with an extensive collection of classical music. There are books and other reading material, much of it local to the area.

To the exterior, there is an enclosed garden to the front of the cottage and a courtyard area to the side.

This cottage is located in a quiet fishing village on the east coast of Scotland midway between Montrose and Stonehaven.

The cottage has neither telephone nor internet installed and the mobile signal is not particularly good…this however is deemed by us and by many others, to be no bad thing.
